the beauty of comics is the possibility to have highly detailed environments and subjects that you can painstakingly study as you move along a story. the 200th issue of todd mcfarlane's spawn todd redid an older image, why not something brand new? he wanted to do the image with all the intense detailing he original wanted but didn't have the time for. now if every comic was this detailed we would only get about 4 issues a year, i would wait.the secret to detailing is not the time it takes to do it but the planing and thought for all the details you have to put in and stay consistent with over several drawings.
