they always give the props to the penciler. he draws the pictures and its his grand vision on display, but the secret is out, the stuff you see is the handy work of the power behind the power, a trusted hand that is responsible for not screwing up the art. the inker makes the pencil magic bold, sharper, more dynamic, hell visible! i have been told that some times an inker gets a bunch of unfinished sketches and is told "here finish this up for me" so when you open your next comic book and see a list of credits of people who worked on it. they really did bust their asses to contribute to the project.
